Intimacy Between Mama Polar Bear And Her Cubs Captured On Camera By Wildlife Photographer

Paul Goldstein, an award-winning wildlife photographer, lived eight days in the Canadian territory of Nunavut. Here, he got the opportunity to meet some special creatures. Baffin Island is famous for its bear population that exists throughout the year, and Goldstein visited a remote area of the Island on a snowmobile to explore. During his visit, he was able to witness a truly one-of-a-king sight with the help of local Innuit trackers. This is none other than some loving and intimate moments between a mama bear and her cubs.

Goldstein watched the adorable polar bear family for about four hours. The family was leisurely going about their day, cuddling, snuggling, and exploring their surroundings. No matter what the cubs were doing, the mama bear was always keeping an eye out for them. Since Goldstein had no guarantee of seeing any polar bears let alone a whole bear family, this was truly a magical moment for the photographer.

Goldstein knows very well how lucky he was to be able to capture such heartwarming photographs. Although he has been a photographer for over two decades, capturing such precious moments always brings him immense pleasure. Through his photographs, Goldstein hopes to convey the fragility of natural ecosystems and the importance of protecting them.

As claimed by a 2020 article, there’s a stable count of approximately 2800 bears on Baffin Island. When there’s no ice, these bears live on land. As soon as ice becomes available, they start searching for their main food staple which is seals. These photos are proof that polar bears are such loving, affectionate, and adorable creatures.
