Piotr Szencel, a tattoo artist, states that Viking tattoos are quite famous everywhere. However, he feels that the way that Nordic countries and other places express the same ideas is different. According to him, the source of inspiration in the North is much more sincere. He states that in the North, history lies within the roots of the families and that it’s the real culture that’s still alive, but a bit hidden.
For a long time, Szencel worked as a graphic designer. His initial tattoos were done on his own skin. Later, he became highly interested in becoming a traveling tattoo artist, and he works hard to realize this dream. Szencel has visited most of Europe in the past 3 years. He states that he is especially interested in the North. After spending quite a lot of time in Iceland and Norway, he has decided to move to the north of Sweden.
Tattoo artist Mark Gray has been tattooing for 13 years, and he specialized in black and grey styles. He states that he himself creates patterns for his clients, and only accepts works that he feels passionate about. According to Gray, mythological tattoos are gaining more fame.
