In our daily lives, we often ignore the beauty of normal everyday objects. Not everybody can see their unique features and derive influence from them. Kristián Mensa is an artist who identifies the endless potential in everyday objects and puts them into use in an incredibly creative manner. For instance, when he takes a pear, he doesn’t see a mere fruit in it. Instead, he sees the body of a cute little bird. In the same way, he uses a toilet paper roll as a mini red carpet for tiny celebrities. to make these playful and fanciful compositions, Mensa combines these day-to-day items with minimalist drawings. Thereby, he skillfully incorporates matching 3D elements among bold lines. The end products of these unique combinations are truly fascinating. Also, they reflect how Mensa views the world in a positive and uplifting manner.
In an interview with Bored Panda, Mensa stated that since he was young, he always tried to view his surroundings from a different perspective. Mensa, being a teen perceptive artist, thinks that even the most ordinary things can be turned into something unique. He states that if we try to just observe what’s around us when we’re going to school or work, we’ll observe so many things differently. In fact, we’ll even be surprised by how so many mundane things that we come across regularly can represent something totally different.
