Elderly Dog Chained For 15 Years Experiences Freedom For The First Time

Many people own pets, but not all of them treat their pets properly. Some people really believe that the only things required by a pet are food and a place to stay. However, that’s not true. Pets need and deserve much more than that. If a person only provides the basics and does the bare minimum for their pets, that’s not “raising” pets, but “maintaining” an animal. When you truly love your pets, you consider them as a part of your family. It is a sincere dedication and a task that requires both economic, mental, and emotional investment. However, unfortunately, many people all over the world are still quite rude, careless, and ignorant towards animals.

This story too is about such a heartbreaking incident where a dog was kept as a detainee for 15 years. The dog’s name is “Bear’ and it was chained up by a thick outside his previous owner’s house for a decade and a half. The owner expected Bear to guard the building. For this, the poor dog had to withstand many extreme weather conditions. Although he wasn’t kept inside a cage, his situation was just as terrible. He was in immense misery and distress when the Guardians of Rescue rescued him.
