Artist Creates Bust Of Nefertiti Together With 60,000 Bees

Have you ever heard of an occasion where humans collaborated with animals to create art? This is exactly what Tomas Libertiny, an artist and designer from Slovak, has to offer us. He accepted the challenge of presenting a one-of-a-kind piece of art to the world, with the help of 60,000 bees.

On one hand, bees are well-known as creatures that strongly resist any type of environmental damage caused by humans. On the other hand, they possess the ability to create incredible resistant works from their wax, and the bust of Nefertiti discussed below is one such creation.

As the first step, Tomas created a 3D model of the bust. Then, using it as a ‘scaffold’, he allowed 60,000 bees to build their cells on it, directly. The sight of these little hardworking insects creating art with an artist is absolutely amazing.
